Traditional drainage system is equipped with an U-bend as a defense for
unwanted substance from the drainage system. However, should the water
inside the U-bend depletes due to whatever reasons; there is nothing to
stop odour, insects, gas, bacteria and viruses from emitting through the
drainage pipe. In addition, U-bend offers no protection against sewage
backflow at all.
Poseidon® Non-return Valves (NRV) are specially designed to prevent
sewage backflow, odour, insects, gas, bacteria and viruses. Poseidon®
NRVs are listed in the Schedule of Rates of Hong Kong Housing Authority. |
